16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM AGAINST SEXUAL GENDER BASED VIOLENCE COMMEMORATION 2022

Under the theme;”UNITE! ACTIVISM TO END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS”The District Commemorated the 16Days of Activism Against SBV at Chango Macho with support from ASHWA and World Vision Uganda aiming at elimination of Violence against women.

During the commemoration, Children’s Parliament had a session where members shared different causes and forms of SGBV that affect young people, hinting on dangers and made call to office bearers including parents to join efforts towards having an SGBV free environment.

In crowning, the commemoration, the District Chairperson, Wasike Mugeni received an accolade for Probation Office in recognition for establishment of District Action Centre (DAC). The accolade was delivered by Caroline Akong,Program Officer of World Vision Busia on behalf of Ministry of Gender Labour and social Development.
