MALAC AGRI PROJECT PASSES OUT 20 FARMERS OF THE 7TH COHORT

Deputy RDC,Grace Kanuna has today passed out 20 farmers (15 female and 5 male) of 7th cohort trained by MELAC Agri Project in agronomy in Bustema.Melac Agri project is a Christian faith based organization that was founded by Louis Lakitari to train households in modern agronomy to improve household incomes and increase food security through application of modern agriculture.
While giving his remarks Lakitari shared his vision of transforming local communities through agriculture which is the backbone of Uganda.
The graduands were awarded certificates and start up seed to practice the modern agronomy skills learned and transform their lives and those around them.

Melac Agri Project is one of the organizations that are have established approaches similar to Parish Development Model by extensively getting involved in Agriculture and organizing farmers in groups for easy monitoring, mobilization and transformation.
