MELAC AGRI PROJECT PASSES OUT 19 FARMERS IN FIFTH COHORT
Today we were part of the celebration of farmers in Busitema as MELAC Agri Project passed out 19 farmers of Habuleke Parish who have been trained in financial literacy, productivity and modern agronomy skills. The skills are intended to enable them improve nutrition and food security in their homes as envisioned by the project.
While giving remarks, Lakitari Louis the Director of the Project encouraged the farmers to engage in SACCOs , save and transform their households into the money economy as desired by government of Uganda under the Parish Development Model approach.
Graduands were issued certificates and start up seed for the season’s planting to go and execute the skills acquired and will be monitored closely by our extension staff.
The function was attended by Busitema District Council and staff, Sub County leadership, RWAHI investments Ltd staff and the community members
